《弥赛亚》神居一直是韩德尔最受世人喜爱的作品之一，但令人惊讶的是，此部气势磅礡的作品，韩德尔居然只用了24天的时间即将它完成！这齣由三部分所构成的神居，是C.Jennens根据圣经的各篇编写成的脚本，1742年於都伯林演出，其后加以修改，于1767年出版。其中最著名的《哈利路亚》大合唱，其完美的和声音响，使得当时的国王都不禁起立聆听，这实在是对作曲家的最高尊荣，也成就了日后聆听《哈利路亚》都需起立之传统。逻勃?萧是一位擅於詮释合唱曲的指挥家，在其带领的亚特兰大交响乐团暨合唱团演出下，必定能带给爱乐者无懈可击的听觉享受！
